Lowering the carbon footprint in our community

Wiltshire Council acknowledged a climate emergency in February 2019 and committed to becoming carbon neutral as an organisation by 2030. To show how it will achieve this, the council has published its “Climate Strategy” and “Natural Environment Plan”. However, it is acknowledged that to achieve this goal Wiltshire Council needs to work with residents, communities and businesses.
Tidworth Area Board (covering Tidworth, Ludgershall and surrounding villages) working with its partners would like to gather ideas and interest within our local community. Our aim is to find ways to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly change. If you have an idea for a local initiative (such as water bottle fillers or reduced cost eco-friendly dog poop bags) and would like some support or the offer of financial help to get going, we would love to hear about it.
